Naturally Sweet Apple Milkshake With Fresh Fruit Flavor - A Simple, Creamy Treat

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples (crisp, sweet varieties like Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji work best)
  • 1 cup cold milk (dairy or unsweetened almond, oat, or cashew milk)
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular; or a dairy-free yogurt)
  • 4–6 ice cubes (optional, for extra chill and froth)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or 1 soft Medjool date (optional, to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional but lovely)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for roundness)
  • Pinch of salt (brings out the fruit flavor)
  • Fresh lemon juice (a squeeze, if your apples are very sweet and you want balance)

Instructions

  • Prep the apples: Wash, core, and chop the apples into chunks. Peel if you prefer an ultra-smooth texture, but leaving the skin adds fiber and a more “fresh-pressed” flavor.
  • Soften the sweetener (if using dates): If using a date, pit it and soak it in warm water for 5 minutes so it blends smoothly. Drain before adding.
  • Load the blender: Add the milk, yogurt, chopped apples, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. If you’re using honey or the date, add it now. Ice cubes go in last.
  • Blend until creamy: Start on low to catch the apple pieces, then move to high for 30–45 seconds. You’re aiming for a silky, pourable consistency.
  • Taste and adjust: If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk. If you want more brightness, add a squeeze of lemon. Need more sweetness? Another teaspoon of honey can help.
  • Serve cold: Pour into glasses and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top if you like. Drink right away while it’s frothy.
